Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• ADN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Credentials: - Associate Degree or Certificate.
Required Skills/Experience: - Two years of strong Med/Surg and 1 travel assignment.
Unit Details: - Patient population: Cardiac (chest pain, stress test/Lexiscan, post cath without intervention), CVA/TIA, hypotensive, syncope/dizziness, SOB, post-surgical, GI/Urology pre/post procedure, AKI, cellulitis, detox/CIWA. - Skills/procedures: Cardiac cath recovery (femoral/TR bands), post-surgical care (appy, chole, stones), NIHSS/Neuro assessment/dysphagia screen, initiate/titrate drips (Heparin, Insulin), indwelling drain management, straight cath/foley care, NG tube insertion, blood administration/documentation. - Ratios: Days ) – 1:4-5; PMs ) – 1:5-6; Nights ) – 1:6-7; CN takes patient assignment on all shifts. - Teaching hospital; may require precepting of students and new-hires.
Shift & Scheduling: - Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday. - Flexible contract hours: 48 per week upon request.
Floating Requirements: - First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) and potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
