Job description

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.
Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.
Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Skillset: Remote Tele, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy are, PCA management.
Required Credentials: Associate’s Degree or Certificate
Unit/Facility Details: Patient Population: Med/Surg. population - post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, CHF. Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires
Special Requests: Will accept 48 hour/week upon request
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
