Job description

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.
• ADN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 1 travel assignment required.
Required Credentials: Associate degree or certificate.
Unit Details: Patient population includes post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF patients. Remote telemetry, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, heparin drips, blood and blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management. Ratios: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:6-7. May require precepting students and new hires. CNA support.
Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday. Flexible contract hours: 48 per week upon request. Hours may vary during orientation week and during holidays when the unit is closed.
Floating Requirements: Float first within skillset to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) and potentially Deaconess Henderson (KY). 2-hour notice is given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within the same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
