Job description

Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. RTO must be kept to a minimum.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend is required. Candidates must be available to work 2 or 3 major holidays; holidays rotate with core staff. Shift times include and .
Floating Requirements: First to float; floats to Tele. Must be able to read strips when floated to the Med/Tele floor.
Unit Details: Common drips include heparin and blood. The unit has no vents; BiPAP and CPAP may be used at night. Common diagnoses and patient types include pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, ESRD, cellulitis, GI issues, gunshot wounds, stab wounds, patients with abdominal drains, and trauma-related neurological issues.
Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
