Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. RTO is needed upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract); additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity.
Unit Details: No clinical involvement. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. The patient population includes adults and pediatric patients; common diagnoses include UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. RNs are not required to titrate drips. Common drips include electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics; hypertensive and hypotensive medications are not titrated, and diuretics are rarely continuously infusing. A pediatrician is not in house 24/7 but is on call for pediatric patients; pediatric patients are not managed by the hospitalist. There are no ventilators on the unit; occasional BiPAP is managed primarily by respiratory therapy. The unit uses ICU telemetry monitors; nurses read strips and apply telemetry to patients.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotation. Weekends as needed. Shift times are 7-7. Self-scheduling is allowed. No holiday requirement.
Floating Requirements: First to float; floats to the ED/ICU for 1:1 assignments as needed.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
