Job description

Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• 3 months of RPMS (Resource and Patient Management System) experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Flu declinations accepted on condition traveler wears a mask at all times.
Required Skills/Experience: 1 year pediatric experience required; must be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients.
Special Requests: RTOs for Thanksgiving and Christmas will not be acceptable.
Unit Details: Patient population includes adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. Patient ratios: Non-COVID patients are typically 4:1, with a maximum of 5:1. COVID patients are typically 2:1, with a maximum of 3:1. In addition to inpatient work, may be assigned to help cover flu immunization clinics as needed.
Shift & Scheduling: Typical schedule is 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next, plus up to 1 on-call shift per week. Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends and holidays, as needed. 15-minute call response time for all units with a call requirement.
Floating Requirements: Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. This could include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting or could be task-oriented, such as answering call lights, phones, etc.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
