Job description

Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• 2 years of Trauma Level 2 facility is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical experience, working in a larger hospital (200 beds minimum), Level 2 or higher trauma center. Travel experience required, unless multiple years of experience in a large Level 1 experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with surgical oncology patients preferred, but not required.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Previous employment with Sanford Health must have ended 6 months before the submission date.
Unit Details: Patient population includes medical-surgical and surgical oncology patients. Equipment includes AccuDose, bladder scanner, Philips monitors, and telemetry. Patient ratios are 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift.
Shift & Scheduling: The schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday.
Floating Requirements: Home unit is 5SE, but the clinician can float to any medical-surgical unit on any campus.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
