Job description

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• Trauma Level 5 experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Kansas license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Basic dysrhythmia knowledge is required.
Unit Details: The unit is located on 4S in Tower B on the 4th floor. Typical procedures include PIV insertion, management and removal; central line management and removal; Foley insertion, management and removal; NG insertion, management and removal; drain management and removal; wound care and ostomy management; continuous bladder irrigation; chest tube management; and EKGs. Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Hoyer and Sara Steady devices, feeding pumps, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, iMobile, and a vein finder. Virtual admission RN coverage runs from 10a-10pm.
Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 48 per week preferred. Weekend requirement: 4 (Fri, Sat, or Sun) shifts in a 4 week period.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
