We welcome all healthcare professionals to join our thriving community and contribute to our pursuit for clinical excellence.Department:CC IMED Key West 2506Job Description Summary:Position ResponsibilitiesCommunicates at shift change and follows through on pending orders or issues from previous shift.Reviews Quality Control. Reports significant deviations to the manager. Documents corrective action.Organizes work to maximize productivity and efficiency.Determines specimen acceptability and priority, taking action accordingly.Orders and maintains an appropriate inventory of reagents and supplies to ensure adequate patient care and minimize costs.Recognize and take corrective action when equipment failure occurs.Oversees proficiency testing. Ensures that testing is rotated among staff, results are submitted on time, flagged items are investigated and corrective action documented.Orients new employees to the laboratory, conduct inservices, assesses competency of staff and annual safety training.Assumes responsibility for adequate staffing.
