Job description
Role: Clinical Laboratory Technician responsible for performing laboratory testing, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality assurance.
Responsibilities include:
Accurately conducting patient, proficiency, and quality assurance tests, maintaining error rates within standards, and documenting investigations.
Analyzing, investigating, interpreting, and reporting lab data with clinical awareness and timely turnaround.
Monitoring test statuses, documenting in LIS, and communicating effectively with team members.
Supporting performance improvements, participating in inspection readiness, and assisting with new methods and procedures.
Maintaining current knowledge of policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
Completing educational requirements and adhering to organizational standards of behavior.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.
Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience preferred.
Skills in computer/data entry, communication, and basic knowledge of Excel, Word; Epic and 3M experience preferred.
This role requires: independence, attention to detail, teamwork, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
