Job Description

The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) plays a critical role in supporting the clinical staff in the delivery of high-quality patient care within the emergency department. The ED Tech is responsible for assisting with patient assessments, transporting patients, and performing clinical tasks under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.

Responsibilities

Assisting with patient care and basic clinical tasks.

Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the clinical team.

Assisting in the transportation of patients to various departments as needed.

Supporting the nursing staff with various procedures and patient-related tasks.

Maintaining cleanliness and order in patient care areas.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Experience as an Emergency Department Technician or equivalent role is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
