Medical TranscriptionistMedical Transcriptionist – Texas Hip and Knee Center Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together **** Work location: Texas Hip and Knee Center 6301 Harris Parkway Suite 300 Fort Worth 76132 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm Texas Hip and Knee Center Department highlights: Growth Opportunities Team Commitment Valuable work environmentQualifications Education H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required) And Associate's Degree (Preferred) Experience 1 year Medical Transcription experience (Required) 3 Years Transcription experience (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or equivalent work experience (Preferred) What You Will Do Transcribe dictated reports accurately within established standards. Recognize, interpret and evaluate inconsistencies, discrepancies and inaccuracies in medical text or dictation appropriately to clarify, flag, or report as needed. Translate medical jargon and abbreviations into their expanded form. Prioritize dictated reports based on level of continuity of care needs. Edit for grammar and clarity, as necessary. Produce a variety of documents, including discharge summaries, history and physical examination reports, operative reports, consultation reports, autopsy reports, diagnostic imaging studies, progress notes and referral letters.
