Medication Aide

nJob Description:

nWe are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Med Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in the administration of medications to residents, ensuring compliance with prescribed dosages and schedules. As a Med Aide, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of those in your care.

nResponsibilities:

n- Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents according to the physician's orders

n- Maintain precise records of medication administration and track residents' medication schedules

n- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behavioral status to the nursing staff

n- Assist with daily living activities and provide supportive care for residents as needed

n- Ensure safe storage and handling of medications

n- Participate in training and development sessions to stay current with healthcare practices and state regulations

n- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care

nQualifications:

n- High school diploma or equivalent required

n- Certification as a Medication Aide or Assistant, as per state regulations

n- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required

n- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

n- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy and compassion

n- Basic knowledge of medical terminology

n- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
