nHultquist Place Assisted Living is seeking two Part-Time Medication Aides for 2nd Shift to support our residents and care team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a new and growing role that focuses on resident-centered care, safety, and independence.

nPosition Summary
nThe Medication Aide assists residents in our Assisted Living Program (ALP) with the self-administration of medications in accordance with New York State regulations and individualized service plans.
nThis role supports resident safety, dignity, and independence while working under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
nWhat You’ll Do
nnnAssist residents with self-administration of medications per service plans
n
nnFollow MAR/eMAR documentation and medication assistance procedures
n
nnObserve and report changes in condition, side effects, or refusals
n
nnDocument assistance accurately and timely
n
nnEnsure proper medication storage and safety practices
n
nnPromote resident independence, dignity, and privacy
n
nnCollaborate with nurses, aides, and the care team
n
nnParticipate in required training and quality initiatives
n
n nImportant Scope of Role
nThis position is non-clinical and follows NYS ALP/ACF guidelines:
nnnNo medication administration
n
nnNo clinical assessments or nursing judgment
n
nnNo interpretation of physician orders
n
nnAll work performed under licensed nursing supervision
n
n nQualifications
nRequired:
nnnHigh school diploma or equivalent
n
nnMust be at least 18 years of age
n
nnSuccessful completion of Hultquist Place’s in-house medication assistance training program, including demonstrated competency, is required prior to independent assignment and will be provided upon hire
n
nnAbility to follow instructions and communicate effectively
n
nnStrong attention to detail and reliability
n
n nPreferred:
nnn1-3 years of experience with medication assistance
n
nnExperience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare
n
nnExperience working with older adults
n
n nSchedule
nnnPart-Time, 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
n
nnPart-time team members commit to working a minimum of four shifts each bi-weekly pay period, consisting of:
n
nnEvery other weekend, and
n
nnTwo additional weekday shifts
n
nnSchedule includes a holiday rotation to support resident care
n
nnAdditional shifts may be available for team members interested in increasing their hours
n
n nPay & Benefits
nnn$17.00 – $18.50/hour (based on experience) + $1.50/hour 2nd shift differential
n
nnThis is a part-time position and is not benefit-eligible. PTO is not provided for part-time employees unless you consistently work 40 or more hours every pay period.
