Member Service RepresentativeLocation: 205 Industrial Blvd, Sugar Land TX Pay Rate: $21.00 - $25/HRCandidate MUST have credit union and/or banking experience as a Teller. MUST meet all the criteria in job description. Credit Check required. Manager must review before offer made. No Bankruptcy, No Collections. Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision. Self-sufficient. Work well with other team members.Purpose: Maintain accurate transactional records, providing basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union procedures. Balance at the end of each day. This person will serve as the face of the credit union and must have a general understanding of credit union processes, products and services.Duties and Responsibilities:Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions.Receive share drafts/checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.Cash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals; payout money after verification of signatures and member balancePromote and explain other credit union services such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates, and money orders.Receive consumer loan, and other payments and ensure the payments match balances due. Enter payments into computer. Generate member receipts.Places hold on accounts for uncollected funds.Process mobile deposit submissions according to procedures and place proper extended holds, should they applyCount, check, and package coins and currency.Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totalled amounts to computer-generated proof sheet. Report any discrepancies to the manager as necessary.Ensure that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etcReport malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller stationCheck night depository bags and record proper information on the credit union's formsReview and process member contact information on accounts, according to procedures.Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, rules and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Controls.Experience:Minimum 2 years' recent experience at a credit union or bank as a Teller, requiredPrevious cash handling experience requiredTeller Cash Recycler experience a plusDNA experience a plus
