This role encourages independence, ensures resident safety, and supports person-centered care practices.What You’ll DoAct as a collaborative team member within the neighborhoodAssist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and resident deathsMaintain resident records daily, including weights, vital signs, and other required documentationProvide redirection and de-escalation techniques for residents with cognitive impairmentsAssist residents or families who use external pharmaciesMaintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residentsRespond promptly and positively to resident requests, including telephone calls and requests from family, visitors, or staffPerform all Personal Care Aide dutiesMonitor resident location and notify the Charge Nurse or Manager immediately if a resident cannot be locatedFollow proper emergency procedures and obtain additional personnel when necessaryAnswer resident emergencies promptlyAssist with collecting specimens as neededWork all assigned tours of dutyMaintain CPR, First Aid certificationsAbide by the organization’s code of conductPerform other related duties as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 6 hours of dementia education annuallyPrior experience caring for older adults with cognitive impairments preferredStrong communication skills, including verbal, written, and comprehension in EnglishAbility to maintain resident and staff confidentialityDemonstrates respect, integrity, compassion, and excellenceCommitment to person-centered care practicesTeam-oriented with flexibility and adaptabilityFlexible schedule with willingness to work extra hours as neededWhy You’ll Love Working at Frederick LivingAt Frederick Living, you’ll be part of a compassionate, purpose-driven team.
