HRI Hospital is seeking Full Time Mental Health Advocates!
HRI Hospital is 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. We are part of the largest private mental health system in Massachusetts and can therefore provide competitive salaries, benefits, and opportunities for growth and development. As a Mental Health Advocate, you will:
Monitor patient safety on the inpatient psychiatric units
Assist nursing staff with patient treatment procedures
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
Assist with patient groups and activities

Qualifications
Requirements
Experience & Education:High School Diploma AND a minimum of 3 years of psychiatric experience
OR
Bachelor's degree in human services field or current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree AND 1 year of psychiatric experience
Other: Excellent interpersonal skills
Physical Fitness - Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable working with patients in acute psychiatric distress
