Job description
Mental Health Consultant
York County Community Action Corporation is seeking a Mental Health Consultant to join our Head Start/Early Head Start Leadership Team.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate mental health and disabilities services across Head Start and Early Head Start.
Observe classrooms and provide constructive feedback to support positive classroom management, teaching practices, and social-emotional development.
Provide consultation and support to Head Start/Early Head Start staff and families.
Develop and facilitate staff training and in-service workshops related to special education, mental health, and social-emotional development.
Supervise the Special Education Teacher, including regular supervision, professional feedback, annual performance appraisal, and professional development planning.
Ensure services comply with Head Start Program Performance Standards, applicable federal, state, and local requirements, licensing standards, and YCCAC policies.
Ensure IEP/IFSP documentation is current and appropriately maintained in ChildPlus.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential that can be maintained throughout employment.
At least three years of management experience. Experience working as a Licensed Social Worker.
Additional Requirements:
Must successfully pass required background checks, conducted upon hire and at least every five years.
Must pass the required physical examination.
Must not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
