Job description
TriStar Health seeks a Mental Health Intake Nurse to conduct clinical intake assessments, triage mental health crises, and coordinate safe, compassionate admissions. You will gather psychosocial histories, perform suicide and risk screenings, verify insurance, and collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and emergency teams to determine appropriate levels of care. The nurse educates patients and families, ensures regulatory documentation, and supports smooth transitions to inpatient, outpatient, or community services while upholding a patient-first, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive approach.
