Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status to develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals.
Implement and adapt evidence-based therapy interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), to promote positive client outcomes.
Maintain meticulous clinical records in compliance with confidentiality regulations and organizational policies, ensuring that client information is secure and accessible for ongoing care.
Engage in collaborative care with a multiprofessional treatment team, facilitating communication and coordination to enhance the overall therapeutic effectiveness.
Provide education and support to both clients and their families, empowering them with tools and strategies to manage mental health challenges effectively.
Stay current on the latest mental health research, treatment modalities, and best practices to continuously improve your skills and the services offered.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our practice serves a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults, dealing with a wide array of mental health challenges ranging from trauma and anxiety to depression. As an LCSW, you will work closely with clients from various backgrounds, ensuring that care is individual-centered and culturally sensitive.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required, along with a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Kansas.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the field of social work, demonstrating competence in assessing and treating mental health conditions.
Proficiency in implementing solution-focused psychotherapy interventions that foster client engagement and recovery.
Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in a private practice or outpatient setting focusing on children and adolescents is highly desirable.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes is preferred.
