Job description

Christian Family Solutions is a faith-based, religious organization committed to our mission, healing and helping people in need through the ministry of Jesus Christ. As more and more people seek help with difficult issues, we want to be the counseling resource they turn to for hope, healing, and peace. Do you enjoy making a meaningful difference in the lives of children? Join our team as a full-time Mental Health Support Specialist to provide services within our STRONG program. STRONG stands for Successfully Treating and Reaching Our Next Generation. We chose this name because it expresses the values and mission of our program and organization. The STRONG program recognizes the unique value of each child and acknowledges that each child deserves a chance at a brighter future. We are seeking applicants who are willing to provide mental services within a positive, Christian work environment.

This is a full-time role with general hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Employees in this role are eligible for the Christian Family Solutions full benefits package, which includes:

Health, dental, and vision insurance

Short- and long-term disability coverage

401(k) plan with employer match

Life insurance

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Plus, one additional paid Mental Health Day each month

The Mental Health Support Specialist facilitates psycho-educational skills groups for children and adolescents admitted into our program. You will also provide general client care, de-escalation services, and support the clinical services team. We aim to foster a positive and nurturing environment aligned with our Christian values.

Quality mental health delivered with integrity is the first commitment we make to our clients. An additional commitment we make is to offer the option of Christian faith principles integrated with a client's treatment, as needed and desired by the client. Research has proven that such faith-integrated treatment is effective and has longer lasting impact. It is an approach we are committed to delivering, and we train our staff to provide it. You will work in a unique environment where both your professional skills and your faith can grow.

At Christian Family Solutions, you have the opportunity to work with a well-trained and equipped staff who are able to safely navigate their way through the mental health field. You will receive on the job training to ensure that you too, are well trained and equipped for this position. Christian Family Solutions will also provide training in the process of applying clinical treatment within a biblical worldview, regular in-service or continuing education opportunities, as well as regular supervision and consultation.

If you are motivated to assist clients in a comfortable, supportive, and Christ-centered atmosphere with a strong Christian Mission and Core Values, we want you to be a part of our team.
