Job description
Family Partnerships of Central Florida is the lead Community-Based Care (CBC) agency serving Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Brevard Counties. We are seeking caring adult volunteers to mentor young adults transitioning out of foster care.
Being a teen in foster care can be overwhelming. Many of our youth face this time without the support of a consistent adult to guide them through life’s challenges. That’s where you come in.
As a mentor, you’ll help your mentee build essential life skills such as:
Being a listening ear
Creating and sticking to a budget
Developing study habits and staying motivated in school
Navigating the job market and securing employment
Building confidence and resilience through encouragement and support
Time Commitment:
We ask mentors to spend at least 4 hours per month with their mentee-ideally one hour per week. The program is designed to be flexible, accommodating both the needs of the youth and the schedules of our amazing volunteers.
Your presence can make all the difference. Join us in empowering youth and young adults to thrive as they transition into independence.
