Job description
Working ForemanWe are seeking an experienced Working Foreman to join our commercial construction team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with a strong background in commercial tenant improvement and/or ground-up construction who can effectively coordinate crews, communicate with other trades, maintain jobsite safety, and assist the Superintendent with daily project documentation.The ideal candidate will have a background as a Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, or General Construction Foreman and possess a solid understanding of how multiple trades coordinate on a commercial jobsite. Carpentry experience is highly valuable, particularly for candidates who are comfortable reading plans and working through construction details.This position will initially support an active commercial project and will transition to a ground-up medical office building project.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily with other Foremen to review jobsite safety, manpower, scheduling, and project progressLead and work alongside a crew while maintaining productivity and quality standardsAssist the Superintendent with daily paperwork, documentation, and project reportingComplete daily jobsite entries and maintain accurate records of work performedTake and organize daily progress photos for each subcontractor/tradeMonitor jobsite progress and communicate potential issues or delays to the SuperintendentCoordinate work between various trades to help maintain an efficient workflowMaintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsitePerform hands-on construction work alongside the crew, including minor detail/finish work and cleanupHelp ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, quality standards, and project scheduleRead and interpret construction plans and drawings when necessaryIdentify potential conflicts between trades and communicate issues proactivelyAssist with maintaining project schedules and coordinating upcoming workSupport the Superintendent with general field operations and jobsite coordinationEnsure crews follow company and project-specific safety requirementsProject BackgroundThe successful candidate will have experience working on commercial construction projects, particularly:Commercial Tenant Improvements (TI)Ground-up commercial constructionMedical office or healthcare construction is a plusMulti-trade commercial projectsProjects involving significant MEP coordination
