Rate: £500–£550 per day

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm

The Role
nnn
We are looking for an MEP Design Manager / Building Services Design Manager to support a major construction project in Suffolk.
nnn
You will take responsibility for coordinating the MEP design process, working closely with external consultants to ensure designs, information and deliverables are progressing in line with the project programme.
nnn
This could suit an experienced Design Manager or someone from a strong Mechanical or Electrical technical background who has experience coordinating design information and is ready to take on greater responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
nnn
nnManaging the MEP design process and deliverables from external consultants.
nnn
Reviewing design information and monitoring progress against programme requirements.
nnn
Preparing and maintaining design status reports.
nnn
Coordinating and attending design review meetings.
nnn
Liaising with consultants, project teams and other key stakeholders.
nnn
Identifying outstanding design information and following actions through to completion.
nnn
Maintaining accurate design documentation and project records.
nn
nnn
What We Are Looking For
nnn
nnMechanical and/or Electrical technical qualification.
nnn
Good understanding of Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services installations.
nnn
Experience coordinating design processes, technical information or consultant deliverables.
nnn
Previous design experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
nnn
Confident managing meetings, actions and design status reporting.
nnn
Strong IT skills; experience with SharePoint and Viewpoint would be advantageous.
nnn
Organised, proactive and comfortable working with external consultants and project teams.
nn
nnn

The role is based on a secure site and the successful candidate must be able to obtain the required BPSS/DHR clearance.
nnn
Due to the site location, candidates must be able to travel reliably to Stradishall, near Newmarket.
nnn
