Merchandising Sales Associate
nOverall Job Summary
nThis position is responsible for working as part of the Field Activity Support Team (FAST), primarily in a single store, to own and execute “start to finish” variable tasks such as planograms, signage, price changes, as well as provide support for other tasks including merchandise and fixture assembly, and the maintenance of all signage. This position will interact with customers and team members, while providing legendary customer service.
nEssential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
nAs a FAST Team Member, it is essential that you be available, flexible, adaptable and service-oriented, as you must be able to fulfill the following requirements:
nnnMaintain regular and predictable attendance.
n
nnWork scheduled shifts dictated by business needs.
n
nnCommunicate proactively and regularly with District FAST Supervisor and Store Operations on work completion, issues, and offer solutions to overcome.
n
nnComplete planograms and resets accurately and in a timely manner.
n
nnMaintain visual merchandise standards.
n
nnPerform project related measurements.
n
nnComplete store layout initiatives.
n
nnComplete store price changes accurately and in a timely manner.
n
nnInstall, update, and maintain store signage including, but not limited to, Circulars, Price Cuts and Managers’ Specials.
n
nnAssemble merchandise, fixtures and PDQs.
n
nnPerform recovery and review planogram integrity.
n
nnMake the customer a priority when approached and provide legendary customer service while in stores through the use of GURA:

nnG reet the Customer

nnU ncover the Customers’ needs
n
nnR ecommend products
n
nnA sk for the Sale
n
nnPromote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers and adhere to Company safety training and guidelines.
n
nnTeam Members also may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

n nRequired Qualifications
nExperience: Prior retail and/or merchandising experience is required. Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older.
nEducation: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, FAST Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.
nPreferred knowledge, skills or abilities
nnnStrong communication and problem-solving skills.
n
nnBasic computer skills.
n
nnStrong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
n
nnMust be self-directed and have the ability to complete assignments with little to no assistance.
n
n nWorking Conditions
nnnIndoor floors and outdoor lots generally are hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) lighting and temperature are adequate.
n
nnWork shifts vary from one store to another, but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 10 hours
n
nnWorking environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise.
n
n nPhysical Requirements
nnnAbility to be near or around birds/poultry.
n
nnAbility to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
n
nnAbility to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.
n
nnAbility to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
n
nnAbility to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
n
nnAbility to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jack).
n
nnAbility to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
n
nnAbility to successfully complete all required training.
n
nnAbility to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with team members and customers
n
nnFAST Team Member is a non-sedentary position.
