About Our Unit:
Our Orthopedic nursing team serves as Mercy Hospital St. Louis' designated Innovation Unit, where new technology and nursing advancements are introduced before broader implementation across the organization. This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue a major expansion, adding 55 beds by October 2026 and broadening our patient population to include orthopedic, general surgery, colorectal, breast, thyroid, and GU surgical patients.
Nurses on our unit have the unique opportunity to experience innovative advancements designed to improve workflow efficiency and create more time for patient care. Current innovations include AI-assisted charting technology that helps reduce documentation time, bedside vital sign equipment integrated directly into Epic, and workflow enhancements focused on simplifying day-to-day nursing responsibilities. Additional innovations coming soon include digital patient whiteboards, digital door signage, and expanded virtual nursing support for admissions, discharges, and patient education.

Orthopedic Innovation Unit (Inpatient) | Mercy Hospital St Louis
Registered Nurse (RN), Graduate Nurse (GN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN)
Full-time/ Part-time, Day & Night shift available!

Qualifications:
Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school;
License: Must have either a current RN/LPN Temporary Permit or RN/LPN license in the State of Missouri
Certifications: Basic Life Support (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association
