Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Home CareEmployment Type: Full timeLocation: Mason City, IA Company: MercyOne Home CareMake a Difference Where Patients Need You MostMercyOne Home Care is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team in Mason City. In this role, you will provide hands-on physical therapy services to patients in their homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You'll help patients improve mobility, restore function, and maintain independence while building meaningful relationships with patients and their families.What You'll DoDeliver physical therapy services according to physician orders and the Physical Therapist's plan of care.Implement treatment programs developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.Provide direct patient care and therapeutic interventions in the home setting.Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and the use of adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs, braces, and other assistive devices.Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the Physical Therapist, physician, RN, or leadership team.Document treatments, observations, and patient responses accurately and timely using the electronic medical record system.Collaborate closely with therapists, nurses, and other care team members to ensure high-quality patient care.Participate in care conferences and patient care planning meetings as appropriate.Provide ongoing encouragement and support to patients and families throughout their care journey.QualificationsRequiredAssociate degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).Minimum of six months of experience working under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong communication and documentation skills.PreferredPrevious home health experience.Why Join MercyOne Home Care?One-on-one patient care in the home setting.Flexible and autonomous work environment.Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' quality of life.Collaborative interdisciplinary care team.Mission-driven organization committed to compassionate care.If you're passionate about helping patients regain independence and thrive in their own homes, we'd love to connect with you.Apply today to join MercyOne Home Care in Mason City as a Physical Therapy Assistant!Our CommitmentRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
