GuideIT is a US based technology services company focused on providing value to its customers through technology alignment and optimization. We are currently looking for a Messaging Engineer I to join our team.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Messaging Engineer with solid experience in messaging platforms, system administration, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments, with a solid understanding of email systems, collaboration tools, and security policies. In addition to messaging skills, proficiency in Windows Server management is required, with experience in Azure AD (Entra ID) and cloud messaging integration being highly desirable. Cloud experience, particularly with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance and Azure, is preferred.
Primary duties
Manage messaging support and related tasks as directed by infrastructure team leadership.
Provide services focused on messaging system setup, documentation, support, and new tenant/user implementations.
Configure and administer various messaging platforms and services, including but not limited to: Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments, Exchange Online, Azure AD, and collaboration tools & email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), spam filtering, and compliance policies
Perform regular messaging system maintenance and upgrades, including applying service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
Monitor messaging system performance and security to ensure availability and reliability.
Conduct capacity planning, system resource monitoring, and trends analysis for messaging environments.
Adhere to established configuration and change management policies, ensuring all changes are reviewed, approved, and successfully implemented.
Collaborate with the company’s security team to select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures related to messaging platforms.
Provide technical support for messaging and system-related issues within strict SLA windows.
Required skills
Expertise in messaging platforms, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online administration.
Experience with platform migrations (e.g., Exchange to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace to Microsoft 365)
In-depth knowledge of email protocols and security standards, including SMTP, IMAP, POP3, SPF, DKIM, DMARC.
Understanding of Azure AD (Entra ID), user provisioning, and integration with messaging systems.
Proficiency in Windows Server management, Active Directory, MFA, and related identity/access management systems.
Familiarity with ITIL standards and maintaining compliance with security policies related to messaging environments.
Knowledge of ticketing systems with a proven ability to manage and resolve tickets promptly.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively across teams and clients.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Local to Dallas area and available to go onsite to customer locations as needed.
Desired skills
ITIL training or hands-on experience.
Experience with monitoring tools for messaging system performance and health.
Familiarity with patch management processes for messaging platforms.
Cloud experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance and Azure environments.

Education
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
