Metal Assembler Technician Level I - Night ShiftJob Category: ManufacturingRequisition Number: METAL Full-TimeOn-siteHourly Range: $16.02 USD to $24.04 USDLocation: Duluth MN, 4514 Taylor Cir, Duluth, MN 55811, USAJob DetailsDescriptionJob SummaryThe Small Parts Fabricator/Metal Assembler operates and maintains workstations to assemble, fit, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications by following established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. The Small Parts Fabricator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area and possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.$2K Sign-on eligible until further notice.Shift: This is a second shift position - Mon-Thurs; 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM; 10% night shift differential; Overtime as requiredDuties and Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsPerform assembly of aircraft and tooling components using rivets, fasteners, or other common metal assembly methodsUses shop equipment and tooling to drill, cut, grind, form, crimp, rivet, and perform other common metal fabrication operationsRead, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide activities and ensure qualityFollow verbal, written, and electronic work instruction to complete tasksKeep daily production records and record pertinent manufacturing data where requiredLearn, practice and follow all safety standards and policies and ensure a safe operating environment, including use of appropriate protective equipment and identification of potential safety concernsMaintains a clean and organized work environment.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
