Fabrication AssociatePrideStaff, a firm specializing in recruiting for Central Oregon businesses, is seeking a Fabrication Associate for an established company in Bend, OR. The right candidate for this position will possess great attention to detail, move quickly, comfortable and the ability to self-direct, and experience in a production, fabrication or manufacturing environment. This is a full-time long-term position to get your foot in the door with a great company! Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm.Fabrication Associate Position Perks and Benefits:Stable and friendly work environmentAdvancement potential for reliable candidatesHealth Benefits, PTO and paid holidays401K Retirement PlanMonthly bonus potentialEstablished and dynamic companyFabrication Associate Position Responsibilities:Prepare steel for fabricationSort and Assemble parts of the productIncludes measuring and cutting steel on a variety of machines including cold saw, band saw, ironworker, and drill pressWelding may be requiredOperate a forkliftImplement "best practice" packaging methods, ensuring the safe transportation and delivery of productsPackage products and accessories for national and international shipmentsPhotograph product and upload photos to the company folderResponsible, for loading and unloading material and partsWork in a fast-paced environment and maintain quality requirementsInspect the quality of materials and parts for conformance to requirements.Maintain clean, safe and organized workspace and warehousePerform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipmentOther duties as assignedFabrication Associate Requirements:1-2 years of previous experience in production and manufacturing preferredStrong desire to learn, continuously improve and push personal limitationsUnderstanding of basic blueprint readingKnowledge of packaging precision and high-value parts for safe deliveryDemonstrated history of accomplishing tasks with intentHigh attention to detail for accuracyMust be a team player and maintain a positive attitude with a strong work ethic as well as work independentlyFlexible and adaptable to work in changing environmentExcellent communication skills both oral and writtenComputer savvy, accurate typing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong problem solving and time management skillsAbility to read measurements in metrics, volume, kilograms and understand conversionsAbility to lift up to 60 lbs on a semi-regular basisA proven work history of delivering great quality of workAbility to stand for up to 8 hours2 Professional ReferencesSupervision: This position has supervision.
