Metal Fabrication (Unskilled)Position Overview Metal Fabrication (unskilled) is responsible for learning the basic skills needed to setup and operate machines in a safe manner. Metal Fabrication must also be able to cut parts for units as needed, and meet/exceed all production goals.Essential Job FunctionsKnowledge of manufacturing principlesKnowledge of air tools, bench grinders, and drill & punch press equipmentMust be able to read and understand printsKnowledge and use of tape measure to the 32ndKnowledge of CNC operationNon-essential Job FunctionsMust be a great problem solverCommunicate well with othersOrganize work areaRequirementsWork inside without air conditionsUse of hands and arms regularlyAble to stand and walk around regularlyBasic computer knowledgeStooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and bending frequentlyMust be able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds of materialOther Skills/AbilitiesAbility to be cross trainedPPE RequirementsSafety glassesGlovesEar plugs
