Our exceptional quality is driven by a deep investment in and the daily practice of continually improving our people, processes, and products.The Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components and structures according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This role involves cutting, shaping, forming, riveting, and straightening sheet metal or structural components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery. The ideal candidate demonstrates precision craftmanship, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.Location: Stuart, FL – Onsite. Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3 PM.Responsibilities:Learn and gain a better understanding of calibrated tooling and equipment such as vernier calipers, height gages, pi-tapes, plug gages, micrometers, go/no go gages, thread gages, cylindrical plug and vertical dividing headInterpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal productsMeasure, mark dimensions, and lay out material to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators, and squaresFasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will lastCheck parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to see that dimensions are being maintainedMaintain specific tolerances and accurately perform dimensionsMaintain a neat and orderly work areaFollow all applicable safety rules and precautionsOther job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent1-3 years of related experienceMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the futureMust be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulationsPreferred Qualifications:Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or technical certification in Metal Fabrication, Welding, or Precision ManufacturingProficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, process sheets, and engineering drawingsExperience using precision measuring equipment instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators)Familiarity with Fabrication tools and machinery such as press breaks, rollers, shears, grinders, and rivet gunsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to identify and correct fabrication issuesDemonstrated ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain high quality standardsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with engineers, inspectors, and supervisorsWorking Conditions:Use hands to finger, handle or feelCommunicate verbally and have the ability to hearStand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouchClose visionLift and carry up to 30 pounds, at times up to 50 poundsPersonal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floorAcknowledgements:The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
