Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of the Polisher include, but are not limited to:
Perform a variety of operations to remove burrs or sharp edges, and clean surface on a variety of customer-fabricated metal parts assemblies.
Grind, polishing and or buff a wide variety of customer fabricated metal products, maintaining the specified finish and grain.
Grind, polish and or buff along weld lines to create a continuous and uniformly blended surface.
Use hand and power tools such as belt sanders, abrasive wheels, fixtures, files, scrapers, solvents and miscellaneous hand tools.
Select and use the required wheels and abrasives.
Build up, dress and balance wheels
Clean and inspect parts prior to passing them on to Quality Control
Assists other trades personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
