Become a Key Player as a Metal Worker
You will assemble, inspect, and test mechanical components to meet customer quality and on-time delivery goals, supporting production and continuous improvement efforts. You will work onsite on a 2nd shift schedule (3:30 PM-12:00 AM, Monday-Friday) after a required training period on 1st shift; you will report to production supervisors and collaborate with the manufacturing team.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
Perform moderately complex assembly and test functions using hand and power tools, fixtures, and inspection equipment
Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, and test specifications to produce conforming assemblies
Buff, haze, chemically clean, and prepare components for processing and shipping
Count, size, and prepare tubes for chemical cleaning; sleeve, box, and complete required paperwork
Apply epoxy tape, install inserts and rivets, and perform final detailing and subassembly tasks
Identify non-conformances from test data and rework items as instructed
Participate in lean/continuous improvement initiatives and suggest areas for productivity gains
Assist in training less experienced team members and maintain calibration and safety standards
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
High school diploma or equivalent
Two or more years of industry-related experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications
Strong mechanical reasoning and manual dexterity; good hand/eye coordination
Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
Ability to use basic measurement tools (calipers, protractors, height gauges) and standard business software
Willingness to train on 1st shift for at least two months before transitioning to 2nd shift

Experience operating CNC machines, press brakes, shears, or punch presses
Welding certifications or other technical certifications
Pay Range
$15.40 - $19.25/hour
