Job description
Job TitleExpertise and FunctionsProvide support to Program/Project Manager, Contracting, or mid-level Engineering personnel in the areas of program scheduling, configuration management, finance and accounting, contracting, data analyses, database development or manipulation, preparation of technical/program reports or briefings, test plans and reports, and associated documentation, test or validation/verification assistancePlan/oversee test or project events as assigned by Program Manager or Engineering supervisor, reports status and resultsDemonstrate some creativity in problem solving and/or creating new ideasUtilize effective communication with employees and managementManage workflow in production area meeting production thru-put, quality and waste guidelinesTrack production thru-put, temperature, humidity of clean room production areas and storage areasPractice in FIFO inventory plans when using materialsAudit work orders to verify actual production steps match work order and the materials listed match what is being usedTrack and improve scrap and waste issuesEnsure policies and procedures are followed with employees and the product meets all Quality, Safety and customer requirementsAudit and ensure all material logs are maintained and SDS sheets are current and available on all materials in the shopCoordinate and work with Project Managers to ensure timelines are met and products are delivered on scheduleEnsure that travelers are all properly followed and filled out and that timesheets are accurately filled out dailyComplete and document training and employee evaluationsMove raw materials and finished goods and stage for continuous workflowEnsure materials are on hand that will be needed to complete the workEnsure that the areas are kept clean and tidy, following the cleaning schedules required for each areaWork on ways to reduce waste and improve process flow, try to understand and resolve production issuesReport any non-conformances to qualityArrive every day ready to work in a safe working environment, with a positive safety attitude and executionOperate with a minimum of supervision within established systems and proceduresAnalyze and interpret inventory information and data, to determine current production status such as raw materials on hand, parts on order, parts in process, past usage, lead time required, etc.Print drawings and create job packets for use by productionEnsure job packets are handled and released to the floor per standard and policySchedule work cells, ensuring orders are handled in accordance with our processesExpedite shop jobs by working with receiving, shipping, engineering, and productionContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededOther duties as assignedManagerial DutiesExecute personnel-related activities to include:Create realistic and accurate job descriptionsDirect employee workload to ensure productivity and performance against job descriptionEngage to manage positive employee relations and workplace atmosphere; work to resolve any personnel issuesConduct ongoing feedback – both informal and semiannual feedback, counseling if necessaryAdvise management as to which employees deserve recognition including but not limited to raises, promotions and awardsManage accuracy of employee timecardsEnsure employees receive and perform any required training for position and company needsGuide employees to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies/processesServe as link between upper management and employees; disseminate company information as appropriate – goals/changes/updates/newsCoordinate with Director and/or VP on corporate mattersOther managerial duties as assigned
