This position is open exclusively to current Northeastern University Co-Op students.
Work Period:
January 2027 to June 2027. This is a full - time, 40 hours per week position with 5 days in office.

About the Role
MetaphoreBiotechnologies is seeking an enthusiastic co-op to join ourComp Bio and AI/MLgroups. In this role, you will address key questions for our platform, including both drug discovery and technology development efforts, by analyzing, benchmarking, and interpreting the results of next-generation sequencing (NGS)drug discoveryassaysandevaluating AI/ML tools torespond to drug discovery questions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience indataanalysis andsome knowledgeof either thePython or R programming languagesand AI/ML tools. In this position, they will have the opportunity to work acrossMetaphore’scomputational platform and learn and contribute to multiple bioinformatic analysis approaches.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and bespoke bioinformatic analyses for drug discovery efforts and technology development
Develop reproducible analysis code
Run bioinformatic pipelines and apply AI/ML tools
Communicate results and conclusions to colleagues
Qualifications
Experience withPython or R
Familiarity withbigdata
Some experience with AI/ML tools
Strong communication skills

The pay range for this role is $25 - $35 per hour. This role is a short-term engagement that is not eligible for health and welfare benefits.
