Meter ReaderNational Fuel is currently seeking a Meter Reader for an outstanding career opportunity in the Operations department of our Erie Service Center located at 225 Wayne St. Erie, PA 16507. We offer exciting career opportunities for talented and ambitious job seekers and encourage you to apply today.Primary Responsibilities:Accurately and efficiently read residential and commercial gas metersManually input meter readings in a handheld computer deviceWork outdoors extensively in all types of weather and walk for long distancesHandle customer inquiries and perform collection workIdentify and report meter irregularities and report safety hazardsWork in potentially hazardous environments such as dark basements, roof tops or industrial facilitiesMinimum Qualifications:Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving recordMust have a high school diploma or equivalentThe ability to drive a small company truck or vanBasic literacy is required. Ability to read, accurately interpret and analyze written information, and legibly prepare written documentationAvailable to work a flexible schedule Monday – Saturday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.Preferred Qualifications:Self-motivated, proven track record of good attendance and committed to workplace safetyGood communication, customer service and computer/data entry skillsMechanical abilityPrior experience operating a mini excavatorPrior plumbing and heating experienceAbout National Fuel:National Fuel is a diversified energy company headquartered near Buffalo, NY.
