What you'll be working on...
Installs new meters and regulators.
Performs meter changes for customers.
Responds to and investigates gas odor complaints and gas leaks.
Utilizes and maintains gas detection equipment.
Verifies customer equipment is safe and complies to applicable codes.
Processes disconnection of service for non-payment.
Installs remote read devices on meters.
Who you are...
Entry level position with mechanical/industrial training and/or experience required.
You have a high school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
Knowledge of NFPA54 (National Fire Protection Association).
Skilled in the safe operation of hand tools, working with diagnostic tools.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read, manuals, code and parts diagrams.
Ability to communicate with various levels of employees and customers.
Ability to identify abnormal operating conditions.
Ability to complete work orders accurately.
Where you'll be working :
Outside, customer premises, and minimal office time
Working around potentially flammable substances
