Job description
SUMMARY
Reporting to Chief of Emergency Medicine and working as part of the Emergency Department team, the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will participate in all aspects of care including diagnosis, treatment and disposition with a particular focus on compassionate and courteous service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Obtain patient histories
Perform comprehensive physical examinations to evaluate patients for admission
Perform bedside diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Coordinate tests and consultations
Implement treatment plans, communicating with referring and consulting physicians
Provide consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients and their family members about treatment and medical care
Prepare patients for discharge
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants is required or master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program. Current Massachusetts license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care is required. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively alongside our Emergency Physicians.

Fast-paced, interactive, team-oriented Emergency Department environment with a diverse range of patients and pathology.

Responds to individual patient-care situations demonstrating knowledge and skills acquired through education, certification and work experience.

None.
PAY RANGE
$127,504.00 – $161,782.40
