Job description
The incumbent serves as the Section Chief of Microbiology in Lab Medicine Service at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. This leadership role oversees the microbiology section, including clinical operations, education, and research, with responsibility for performance measures.
The position directs safe, regulatory compliant laboratory operations, provides clinical consultation, ensures coordination with clinical services, and mentors residents and CLS interns.
