The Opportunity
We are seeking a mid-level engineer or architect to join our team—a role that offers the chance to build on your existing expertise while serving as a vital link between our early-career and senior professionals. Ideal candidates will have prior experience at an engineering, architecture, or consulting firm and a strong desire to deepen their technical skills. As a member of the Building Materials Group, you will tackle complex challenges, developing innovative solutions for projects ranging from buildings to bridges.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Building Science, or related field.
Five (5) or more years of relevant experience.
Excellent technical, written, graphical, and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
Perform investigations, condition assessments, and construction observations of buildings.
Conduct testing using various tools, including nondestructive testing methods.
Analyze field and laboratory data to facilitate problem-solving and repair design.
Assist with preparing client deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Interface with project teams, clients, and contractors.
Grow knowledge in building systems and components.
Mentor early-career team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Strong communication, report writing, and customer relations skills.
Ability to adapt, learn, and work independently or in a team.
Willingness to travel and work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, work at heights, in tight spaces, and in adverse weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
