Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level M&A associate with 4-6 years of relevant experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on U.S. and cross-border middle market M&A transactions, with an emphasis on private equity M&A. The position is ideal for individuals comfortable overseeing matters with limited supervision and working directly with partners, senior associates, and clients.
Duties
Represent clients in complex corporate M&A transactions.
Oversee M&A matters with limited supervision.
Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and clients.
Engage in business development activities.
Requirements
4-6 years of relevant M&A experience.
Strong drafting and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic.
Early-stage financing experience is a plus.
EducationJD from an ABA accredited law school.
CertificationsActive member in good standing of the Bar where admitted.
Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located.
