Job description
Network Support Specialist
Hours are 11 PM - 7 AM
Supporting multi-agent command center escalation for Fortinet LAN refresh.
LAN/WAN troubleshooting. VLANs, TCP/IP, SD-WAN. ZTP
FortiAnalyzer or log file review experience
FortiManager or centralized management system experience
API scripting
Troubleshooting experience required
Ability to assist Command Center agents via chat and email
Ability to work in team and individual settings
Provides low to medium complexity network support activities including off-shift support
Completes network engineering and administration maintenance tasks and analyzes process for improvement
Performs low to medium complexity network changes and implementations
Participates in the network technology design process
Analyzes potential changes and enhancements to network software and hardware to determine impact on existing production
Works as a member of a project team on business projects
Performs other duties as assigned
Requires in-depth knowledge of network hardware and software technologies and best practices
Knowledge of a network technology discipline (e.g. IP routing and switching, routing protocols, WAN, firewall, packet analysis, IP telephony, infrastructure, capacity planning, IT tools and other relevant technologies.
