ABOUT THIS ROLE
Are you an experienced production professional with strong manufacturing and team management experience?
A growing organisation is looking for a Production Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day production function, ensuring efficient output, quality standards, resource management and operational performance.
This is a mid-level role suited to a hands‑on and organised individual who can manage production teams, improve processes and efficiencies, and ensure that production targets are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a broader General Management position over time.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Manage day-to-day production operations and oversee production teams
Manage labour resources to ensure production requirements are met
Monitor production output, performance and efficiency against targets
Oversee Quality Control processes and ensure required quality standards are maintained
Manage raw materials, stock and inventory levels to support uninterrupted production
Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure materials are available when required
Implement, manage and improve production processes and systems
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, output and operational efficiencies
Manage production costs and provide regular reporting to management
Take responsibility for Occupational Health & Safety within the production environment
Monitor production performance and address delays, inefficiencies and operational challenges
Drive accountability and continuous improvement across the production team
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Strong production and manufacturing experience
Proven experience managing production teams and labour resources
Experience in Quality Control and production processes
Sound understanding of raw materials, stock and inventory management
Experience working with Supply Chain processes
Strong process improvement and problem‑solving ability
Ability to implement and manage systems and processes
Experience with production cost control and reporting
Good understanding of OHS requirements
Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
A relevant technical, production or manufacturing qualification would be advantageous
Fibreglass/composites industry experience would be highly advantageous
