Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-to-senior-level associate with 3-6 years of patent prosecution experience to join the Pharmaceutical group in Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves working closely with clients and inventors throughout the patent process.
Duties
Collaborate with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process.
Prepare and file patent applications.
Conduct freedom-to-operate and patentability analysis.
Assist in additional responsibilities or projects as needed.
Requirements
3-6 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting.
Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, DC.
Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.
Education
A Ph.D. in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
A JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail.
Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
