Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-to-senior-level associate with 3-6 years of patent prosecution experience to join the Pharmaceutical group in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent law and a commitment to client service.
Duties
Collaborate with clients and inventors throughout the patent process.
Prepare and file patent applications.
Conduct freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses.
Assist with additional responsibilities or projects as needed.
Requirements
Ph.D. in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
3-6 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm.
Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, DC.
Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.
Education
Ph.D. in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
