A law firm seeks a mid to senior level corporate associate specializing in fund formation to join their team in Santa Monica, CA. The role involves working with venture funds, venture studios, incubators, accelerators, and crypto-related funds.
Duties
Organize and advise venture funds and related entities.
Provide counsel on corporate and securities regulations.
Collaborate with team members to support fund formation activities.
Requirements
Four to eight years of experience in VC or PE private investment fund formation.
Bar admission in the state of the office location or eligibility to sit/waive into the next bar exam.
Superior academic credentials and top-tier professional experience.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.
Skills
Strong understanding of corporate and securities regulations.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficient in legal research and analysis.
