Experienced MIG/TIG Welder & Cobot Programmer – Direct Hire
Pay:
$28-$30 per hour
Location: Mentor, OH
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
An established manufacturer is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder with hands-on Cobot programming experience. This is a skilled position requiring previous experience in both welding and Cobot programming. It is not an entry-level welding or programming opportunity.
Required Experience
Applicants must have:
At least 3 years of experience working with and programming Cooper Cobots
At least 5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience
Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols
Experience using measuring and inspection tools, including tape measures and calipers
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
Dependable attendance and reliable work habits
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Candidates without Cobot programming experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities
Program and operate collaborative welding robots
Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
Fabricate metal components according to blueprints and technical drawings
Set up welding equipment, fixtures, and materials
Work with Engineering to develop welding fixtures
Operate an angle grinder to finish and smooth welds
Operate an automatic saw
Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Physical Requirements
Ability to handle and move components weighing up to 50 pounds
