Experienced Mig/Tig WelderNesco Resource is currently seeking an experienced Mig/Tig welder with our long-time assembly/parts manufacturing client in Livonia, MI. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity! Shift: 1st: 7:00 am- 3:45 pm, Monday through Friday, with possible OT/weekends Pay: $26 - $28/hour, based on level of expertise Role highlights: To operate, set up, and maintain manual production welding equipment used for the fusing and repairing of various metal components using defined welding processes (i.e., Mig, Tig, Stick). Components must be assembled according to engineering drawings and customer specifications while monitoring quality, processing paperwork, and maintaining the work area. The ideal candidate must have strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of metal properties. The role requires proficiency in weld operations, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.Duties and responsibilities:Fusing or repairing various types of metal materials together using welding processes such as Mig, Tig, or stick weldingReview job specifications to set up welding machinery, determine machine adjustments, and material requirementsMeasure and prepare workpieces using rulers, templates, gauges, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments to determine accuracyEnsure completed products meet established quality criteria, including strength and compliance with specifications.Document quality and production records accuratelyCommunicate with other operators, maintenance, team leader, and supervisor to maintain productivityPerform troubleshooting and routine maintenance when neededMaintain company safety standards and inspection processesAdhere to all company policies and proceduresQualifications/requirements:High school diploma/GED equivalent.2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environmentProficient knowledge of Mig and Tig welding processes requiredAdditional welding knowledge (i.e. Stick, Arc, Robotic, etc.) is a plus!Associate's degree or welding certification, preferredBilingual/Spanish-speaking is a plus!Knowledge of ISO standards, quality systems, and inspection processesAbility to pass weld testAbility to read schematics, part prints, weld symbols, and drawingsAbility to stand, reach, bend, or twist body frequently throughout shiftNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses medical, vision, dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
