MIG & TIG Welder / FabricatorLocation: Auburn Hills / Rochester Hills, MichiganPosition Type: Full-TimePosition Overview: We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our growing fabrication team. This role focuses on precision stainless steel welding, structural fabrication, and maintaining tight tolerances while assembling and welding frames and components. This also includes Mig welding carbon steel/aluminum. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing clean TIG and MIG welds, understands fabrication layout and fit-up, and can consistently hold frames square and within specification throughout the build process.Responsibilities:Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel components and assembliesFabricate stainless frames, fixtures, and welded assembliesRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication printsFit, tack, and weld parts while maintaining dimensional accuracyHold large frames square, level, and true during assembly and weldingUse measuring tools including tape measures, squares, calipers, and levelsOperate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and material handling equipmentInspect weld quality and ensure finished products meet specificationsWork closely with shop leadership and production teams to meet deadlinesMaintain a clean and safe work environmentQualifications:3+ years TIG and MIG welding experience, preferably on stainless steelStrong fabrication and layout skillsExperience welding heavy stainless assemblies and structural framesAbility to hold tight tolerances and maintain squareness during fabricationAbility to read fabrication drawings and weld symbolsExperience with fixtures, clamps, and frame setup techniquesStrong attention to detail and workmanshipAbility to lift materials and work in a fabrication shop environment
